With new construction works on the Moto Bridge in Ba being washed away yesterday, a request for a boat to ferry people across the river is being made.
Advisory Councilor and JP of Moto, Haridayal Sharma said there now is an immediate need for boats so that people can cross to reach shops, health facilities and other essential services.
He added constructing a new bridge will take a few weeks and until then people should not be left stranded and requests authorities to try and make boats available as soon as possible.
Without the Moto Bridge, nearly 9,000 people in 14 settlements that include around 450 school students are affected.
