Every family severely affected by adverse weather conditions in the Western Division will receive food rations.
Commissioner Western, Commander Joeli Cawaki said that at present ration distribution has been restricted only to evacuation centres however once the weather situation improves, relief teams will resume their work that has currently been suspended due to conditions.
He added that at the peak of the floods 5,549 people in evacuation centres received 1 week's ration and that when distribution resumes, District Offices will then take the responsibility.
