More than five thousand tobacco vendors have registered with the Health Ministry to sell tobacco.
With registration now closed the Ministry will send their officers to inspect business and residence believed to be selling tobacco products.
Anyone caught selling tobacco without a registration certificate can be fined a maximum spot fine penalty of $5000.
