Once known as the richest soccer team in Fiji, Navua is now facing tough times to make a team for the Courts IDC.
In the last decade Navua has been known for buying players from all over Fiji, but today the team does not have money to even pay its local players.
President, Gopal Naidu has said that close to eight top players are not attending training as they want their payments to be made first.
These players include Rajneel Chand, Inia Boko, Jesoni Takala and Sireli Vosa.
Naidu said that he does not blame his players as the association has failed to make money from the gate takings as there has been a poor turnout at National soccer league matches.
Navua will play Labasa 3.30pm next Wednesday at Govind Park in its first match of the Courts IDC.
