Five witnesses from a resort in Beqa were called before Justice Paul Madigan today in relation to a rape trial.

The trial involves an unemployed man of Beqa who is charged with raping a tourist in April last year.

However State Counsel, Josaia Niudamu said he needs to make some amendments in relation to the facts of this case.

The case is adjourned to tomorrow.

Justice Madigan highlighted to the prosecution and defense that the case has a lot of interest because it involves two tourists.

The couple who were from Australia were holidaying in Beqa, when the woman was allegedly raped.
