An investigation in still underway to determine the cause of the bus accident in Kubukawa Road Makoi 8 miles this morning.
Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra confirmed that there were more than 30 students in the bus.
SSP Mishra said they are also waiting for the doctor’s report and cannot confirm the extent of the injuries and whether any of the students are admitted in hospital.
He said the bus involved in the accident is in their custody for further examination.
The accident occurred after 7.30am today.
Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the bus went off the road and tumbled down a slope as reports suggest that the bus almost fell into a creek.
National Fire Authority Chief Executive Officer John O’ Connor said they received a call around 7.55am that a bus has gone off the road and smashed into a property.
The bus is badly damaged.
