An investigation is now underway to ascertain the cause of the fire which destroyed a four flat house in Kikau Street, Samabula earlier today.
National Fire Authority Chief Executive Officer, John O’Connor confirmed that a team from the Suva and Valelevu Fire Stations were deployed to the scene.
O’Connor added that the house was engulfed in flames when they reached the scene.
Neighbors saw smoke coming out of the house at around 10.45am and they raised the alarm.
