People’s Democratic Party Leader, Felix Anthony has announced the first batch of proposed candidates for the September elections in Lautoka today.
Anthony is part of the proposed candidates list.
Other proposed candidates include Youth and Human Rights Advocate and Journalism student Jone Baravilala Rasi, Businessman and member of Parliament from 2001 to 2006, Vijay Singh, Party President, Lynda Tabuya, Party’s Vice President, Sat Narayan, PDP’s Management Board member, Adi Sivia Qoro, Party’s Vice President for the Central Division, Peni Turaga, former civil servant and member of Parliament from 2001 to 2006, Dr Emasi Qovu, former Trade Unionist and Community worker, Eroni Ratuwalesi, Advisory Councilor and Community worker from Ba, Salochna Sharma, Youth Advocate from Labasa, Josiah Loloma, Fiji’s former Trade Representative to Taiwan, Adi Varanisese Tavaiqia and former General Manager of Engineering Procure Construction, Ratu Iliesa Raseru.
Anthony said more proposed candidates’ names will be announced next Saturday in Nausori as they are waiting for Police clearance for some of the names that are on their list.
