A 27-year-old security officer has been rushed to the CWM Hospital after he was hit by a vehicle at Rokobili, Walu Bay in Suva.

A 23-year-old man was driving the vehicle and it is alleged that he fell asleep causing the vehicle to veer off the road hitting the victim who was standing on the pavement.

The driver is currently in custody as investigations continue.
