A 35-year-old man is expected to be produced in Nadi Magistrates court for allegedly raping his nine-year-old niece earlier this month.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said it is alleged that the man raped her on the 1st of this month while she was sleeping in her room.

It is also alleged that the man indecently assaulted her on three different occasions between May and October.

The man has been charged with rape and three counts of indecent assault.
