Police officers were out in numbers again this morning to monitor people who were drunk and were checking drinking spots in Suva.

Police had been stepping up operations during the weekends to curb the incidence of brawls and other criminal activities in Suva.

As witnessed by Fijivillage this morning, some drunkards seen along Waimanu Road started making their way home when police officers arrived at the drinking spots.
