Minister for Land Mereseini Vuniwaqa has told parliament that landowners of the Naiwailevu bauxite mine in Bua have not received any royalties from the government.

Vuniwaqa was responding to a claim by a member of the Opposition on Monday that the Nawailevu landowners have been paid $600,000 in royalties.

She says this is incorrect.

Vuniwaqa says the royalties for the Nawailevu landowners will be shared once the formula is set.
