A six-year-old boy drowned in the Qauia River in Lami yesterday.

Police Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri says the parents had left the boy with his grandmother.

The grandmother has told Police that she could not locate the boy at around 4pm yesterday and a search was conducted by the neighbours.

The six-year-old boy’s body was found at the bottom of the river at around 7 last night.

Police are expected to question the parents and the grandmother of the boy after the post mortem.
