Dairy Farmers across Western Division have been provided with 21 shredder machines by the Agriculture Ministry to help them in salvaging whatever grass is remaining.

Agriculture Principal Officer Western, Vinesh Kumar says even if the color of grass may have changed the nutritive value of the grass remains.

Kumar is requesting farmers to cut and seal the grass in bags so that it can be used as feed for their livestock.

He is also asking farmers to report the difficulties they are facing due to the current dry spell to their office so they can come up with ways to help them.
