Parents of students from Narere and Navosai in Nasinu are concerned that their children are not getting proper bus services.

Students from 10 different schools are using the same school bus and their parents say in some situations their children have to stand on the steps because the bus is full.

Close to 20 students have to stand in the school bus every day.

The students are from Suva Grammar, Dudley High, Veiuto Primary, Annesley Infant, Suva Methodist Primary, Marist Brothers Primary, Dudley Intermediate, Cathedral Secondary, Stella Marist and Nehru Memorial School.

The school bus is provided by Narere Buses.

Land Transport Authority CEO Naisa Tuinaceva says they will have discussions with the schools and the bus company involved.

He says only 12 passengers are allowed to stand in a bus during a trip and there should be at least 2 school buses servicing the area.
