Former Fiji Museum Director Timaima Sagale Buadromo’s trial will begin on the 21st of this month.

Buadromo is charged by FICAC with three counts of abuse of office.

It is alleged that between 14th December, 2007 to 25th January, 2010 while being employed as the Director of the Fiji Museum, Buadromo abused the authority of her office by approving and accepting allowances in the sum of $560 for the performance of her duties.

It is also alleged that between 22nd November 2010 to 21st June 2014, Buadromo abused the authority of her office for approving and accepting allowances in the sum of $1,120 for the performance of her duties.

Buadromo is also charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage whereby it is alleged that she claimed and approved allowances for herself in the sum of $1,120 knowing she was not eligible to receive the money.

For the third count, it is alleged that while being employed in the Public Service, Buadromo serviced and repaired the Fiji Museum vehicle for the sum of $15,045.96 in Nadi and Lautoka without calling for quotations.
