Mukesh Naidu who is charged with three counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception, is now being investigated for other similar cases of allegedly illegally selling land lots to people.

Naidu appeared before Nasinu Magistrate Charles Ratakele this afternoon.

He is also charged with one count of disobedience of lawful order.

Naidu’s lawyer applied for bail today.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant Jiten Singh objected to bail as there are other complainants who had reported cases of a similar nature.

Magistrate Ratakele has remanded Naidu at Totogo Police Station until the 23rd of this month for further investigation.

Naidu who has been wanted by Police since August last year was arrested by a team of officers in Nadi on Friday.

He is alleged to have obtained more than $28,000 from three different people for land lots sold illegally.

A bench warrant was issued for Naidu for a pending court case and he was also wanted for questioning in relation to his alleged involvement in the illegal sale of land lots in Tacirua.
