A 33-year-old man charged with raping a 16-year-old girl appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Rajnesh Narayan of Nabua pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The alleged incident took place last Tuesday.

Bail was refused and the matter has been transferred to the High Court.

The case will be called on the 30th of this month.
