Cristiano Ronaldo says criticism against him is getting worse, and he doesn't think it's fair.
Ronaldo made his comments after scoring twice in Real Madrid's 3‑1 win at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stage yesterday.
Ronaldo said “ I'm surprised by the public opinion about me but again, the numbers speak for themselves. “
This is not the first ‑ or likely last ‑ time that Ronaldo has complained about criticism against him.
But Ronaldo reiterated that he is happy playing in Madrid and that he never said he wanted to leave, as widely reported after a tax‑fraud investigation in Spain earlier this year.
Meanwhile in the UEFA Champions League, Paris Saint Germain beat Bayern Munich 3-0, Manchester United defeated CSKA Moscow 4-1, Chelsea beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 while Juventus defeated Olympiakos 2-0.
