The National Fire Authority has fare-welled three of its long-serving firefighters from the Nadi Fire Station.

NFA says the three officers had reached the retirement age of 55 last week.

NFA fare-welled Deputy Chief Fire Officer John Pillay who retired after 37 years of service, Divisional Fire Officer Western Gopal Reddy who retired after 26 years of service and Leading Firefighter Savenaca Tabualevu who retired after 22 years of service with the National Fire Authority.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Mileta Seniroqa says the three retiring officers have faithfully served in the profession for more than 20-years and their loyalty and passion for the firefighting profession is admirable.

Seniroga says the fire officers have played a very important role in the fire service and the implementation of the reforms of the National Fire Authority.
