A 30-year-old man charged with Abduction, Defilement and Rape of a 14-year-old girl last year appeared in the Suva high court today.
The alleged incident occurred between the 9th to the 18th of September last year in Samabula.
The court heard that the accused was the boyfriend of the complainant and they were also neighbours.
The accused is charged with 11 counts of Abduction, 5 counts of Defilement and 1 count of Rape.
Defense lawyer Jiten Reddy has filed a bail application for the accused.
The bail hearing will be held on the 5th of next month.
