Close to 300,000 people hold full drivers licenses in Fiji and more than 22,473 hold provisional licenses.
This is according to statistics released by the Land Transport Authority.
In July last year, there were 300,601 licenses in Fiji.
There are more than 113,000 vehicles in Fiji at the moment.
81,713 private vehicles were on our roads in July last year.
Motor vehicle registrations have been growing significantly in Fiji over the last few years with an average growth of 9% from 2015 to 2016.
Statistics by LTA reveal that new vehicle registrations for 2016 was 15,177 with an average registration of 1,265 vehicles per month.
