Motorists are raising concerns as to why ambulances and Police vehicles which were not responding to any emergency cases were being escorted with emergency lights on and sirens blaring along the Kings Highway yesterday evening.
Fijivillage has received confirmation that they were donated vehicles and were being escorted to the Police Special Response Unit in Makoi.
We have asked Police while the sirens and emergency lights were used as these should only be used during emergencies. People have also said that it caused unnecessary panic and will result in people not taking emergency lights and sirens seriously when there is a real emergency.
The ambulances went past Laqere in Nasinu at 6.42pm yesterday.
