Volunteers that helped distribute 2 computers and a printer to the 7 Primary Schools and the only Secondary School in Koro Island along with 800 school backpacks have found a new appreciation for life.

While acknowledging the assistance given by ANZ Community and Reach 4 Your Future Foundation, Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou has stressed that the assistance given to the villagers of Koro Island will carry on as children are still recovering from what had happened during TC Winston.

Tuitubou says that the volunteers have come back and have learned to acknowledge the hardships that people endure while rebuilding.

Villagers of Kade in Koro Island have also been able to broaden their knowledge on finances and savings with ANZ having taken its’ flagship financial literacy programme, Money Minded to Koro.

ANZ Fiji Country Head Saud Minam has confirmed that the financial literacy programme is one of the many ways that can drive a savings culture across Fiji to empower people to improve their lives and those of their families and communities through strong financial management.
