The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Philip Davies has resigned.
Public Service Commission Chairman Vishnu Mohan has accepted Davies’ resignation on which he cited personal reasons for his decision which takes effect immediately.
Davies will be leaving the Ministry to spend time with his family in the United Kingdom.
Susan Kiran, with the agreement of the Prime Minister, has been appointed as the Acting Permanent Secretary of Health.
This appointment takes effect immediately while Kiran continues to hold the office of Cabinet Secretary.
