The Tropical Disturbance currently located to the far West-Northwest of Fiji near Vanuatu is expected to move towards Fiji and may gradually intensify into a Depression and possibly affect the group from tonight.
This is according to the latest update by the Weather Office this morning.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Group, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Northern and Western parts of Viti Levu.
A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over Fiji.
A heavy rain alert remains in force for the rest of Fiji.
Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms are also expected.
A flood alert remains in force for the low-lying areas, small streams for Vanua Levu and Northen and Western Parts of Viti Levu.
