The Crusaders scored seven tries with George Bridge scoring two while Codie Taylor, Billy Harmon, Bryn Hall and Richie Mo'unga scored a try each.
The defending champions were leading 26-0 within the first 20 minutes of the match.
Crusaders fly-half Richie Mo'unga scored 15 points in the match.
In other results, the Waratahs and the Sharks played a 24-all draw earlier this morning.
Fiji Airways Drua prop Kalivati Tawake made his debut for the Waratahs off the bench in the second half.
The Lions overcame the Bulls 49-35 while the Rebels beat the Sunwolves 37-17.
