Deontay Wilder has retained the WBC Heavyweight World title after knocking Luiz Ortiz in the tenth round this afternoon.

Wilder believes that Ortiz gave him a great fight as he almost went down to the canvas in the 7th round.

He also believes that they both have similar motivations heading into this fight.

Wilder is the longest‑reigning of any current titleholder in his division, but his critics accuse him of never having tested himself against a top‑drawer challenger.

He says he is ready for Anthony Joshua.

Wilder now added another record to his name with 40‑0 professional win.

Meanwhile the Joseph Parker and Anthony Joshua unification fight will take place on 1st April.
