Members of the Construction Industry Council have been told that construction regulations are being drafted that will address issues that included licensing, conditions of contracts, tender processes as well as building and safety standards.

While speaking at the Constuction Industry Council monthly meeting Acting Director Occupational Health and Safety, Lui Mario says the draft is now with the Solicitor General's Office.

Construction Industry Council President, Gordon Jenkins acknowldged Acting Director OHS for the OHS initiative adding that the draft regulations have the full support of the Council.

Jenkins has also highlighted that the Council will address critical issues that have been weakening this vital industry for far too long at the upcoming Construction Industry Council conference scheduled for June 14th to the 16th.

He says that the Council is gratified at the growing interest in not only the conference but in the trade show as well as there needs to be workable solutions and the conference will be a starting point towards that.

The Council is comprised of all the major construction associations in the country, including the master builders, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, hardware suppliers, developers and project managers.
