SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu has suggested in Parliament that the portfolio of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs be reverted to Defence Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.

This comes after Kubuabola had attended the 21st MSG leaders Summit on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Voreqe Bainimarama last month in PNG.

Meanwhile, Kubuabola highlighted in Parliament that while in Papua New Guinea he met with PNG Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill to reassure Fiji’s support to PNG in the upcoming Asia‑Pacific Economic Cooperation.

He adds that O’Neill has also made it known that he wishes to visit Fiji this year to address parliament if possible on Papua New Guinea’s preparations for the Asia‑Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in November where they will be expecting over 10,000 delegates.
