A USP student has told the Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum that he is concerned about the number of hybrid vehicles on our roads.

The issue was raised at the 2018-2019 National Budget Consultations at the USP Laucala Campus.

He has asked if the government can increase the duty on hybrid vehicles.

Responding to the student, Sayed-Khaiyum said we must not deprive people the right of owning a vehicle as the issue is not about hybrid vehicles but traffic.
