Timoci Bolakoro of Queen Victoria School has won the Senior Boys 100 metres event at the Tailevu Athletics Zone.

The recorded manual time for Bolakoro in the 100 metres final was 11.35 seconds. 

Moave Ravuvu finished second while Alfred Turner finished third in the Senior Boys 100 metres final.

Aravela Korolaubu of Wainibuka Secondary School won the Senior Girls 100 metres.

Looking at the medal tally, RKS is leading the boys division with 9 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze. QVS is in second place with 5 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze while Wainibuka Secondary School is in third place with 2 gold and 1 silver

Tailevu North College is leading the girls division with 7 gold, 5 silver and 2 brnze. Dawasamu Secondary School is in second place with 3 gold 3 silver and 2 bronze while Wainibuka Secondary School is in third place with 3 gold 1 silver and 3 bronze.

Two records has been broken so far in the Tailevu Zone.

A 10‑year‑old record was broken by Adi Camari Lasaqa of Wainibuka Secondary School in the open girls 1500 meters with a time of 5 minutes 8 seconds.

The old record was 5 minutes 12 seconds set by Akesa Drotini also of Wainibuka Secondary School in 2008.

A new record of 13.86 meters was also set by Aporosa Taqiri of Ratu Kadavulevu School in the Intermediate Boys Triple Jump.

The old record was 13.24 set in 2014.

In other events, Viliame Salusalu of RKS won the Senior Boys 1500 metres while Petero Tuisiga also of RKS won the Intermediate Boys 1500 metres.
