The Land Transport Authority issued 369 Traffic Infringement Notices last week, of which 178 were issued in the Western Division while 172 in the Central and Eastern Division and 19 in the North.
LTA Board Chairperson Vijay Maharaj says these numbers reflect how active their officers are and complements their partnership with the Fiji Police Force.
Maharaj says this should send out a stern warning to all road users that appropriate action will be taken should they fail to comply to road rules.
He adds all they want is a safer Easter weekend for all their road users and their enforcement officers will be on the road all over the country to ensure this.
