Minister for Waterways Dr Mahendra Reddy says they have deployed a team of engineers from Sigatoka to Rakiraki to undertake scoping work where they found major effects of flooding.
Dr Reddy says this is done to find out if they need to provide any additional drainage work in these areas.
He says they are hoping to give contracts to 20 contractors by this week for the works to be done.
