Difficult decisions are the greatest challenges of leadership and pleasing everyone is not good leadership.
This was highlighted by FICAC Manager Corruption Prevention Kolora Naliva while officially opening the Young Leaders Seminar 2018 in the Central Division.
She says 2 senior school leaders from 10 Secondary Schools in the Central division are part of the Young Leaders Seminar 2018 that focuses on the theme of integrity makes excellent decision makers.
Naliva also highlighted that the main aim of the seminar is to emphasize on the importance of integrity in decision making and that it is crucial to good governance and sustaining trust.
She says that the students that have been selected are already leaders within their respective school and among their peers and will be the leaders of tomorrow.
Naliva adds that with the absence of corporal punishment in schools, FICAC has seen that it is useful that the young leaders are being educated on the importance of integrity as well as ethical values whilst holding a position in leadership.
She says to be able to instill these principals in young school leaders will help them to identify and stay away from the evils of corruption.
Meanwhile, FICAC has presented a total of 6 cases related to corruption offences involving 9 individuals from January to March this year.
