Maintenance works at the Wainibau Bridge at Baulevu Road is schedule to take place today.

Fiji Roads Authority says the bridge has been closed since 7am this morning until 5am Monday.

The Authority says that the bridge needs urgent maintenance work taking in account its deteriorating status.

People are advised to take this notice into account when making travel plans.
