Four men who were convicted of manslaughter and assault causing actual bodily harm have been sentenced by Suva High Court Judge Justice, Riyaz Hamza.
Alipate Naimoso was convicted of one count of assault causing actual bodily harm while Saimone Tucila Senior, Epeli Tucila and Saimone Tucila Junior were convicted of one count each of manslaughter.
Epeli Tucila and Saimone Tucila Junior have been sentenced to five years and nine months imprisonment while Saimone Tucila Senior has been sentenced to seven years and nine months imprisonment.
Justice Hamza sentenced Naimoso to one year imprisonment which he has suspended for three years.
The four men were previously charged with a count each of murder.
The four men had beaten up a 21‑year‑old man and had left him outside the service station in February 2016.
