The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has defeated Japan 45-12 in their first pool match of the Singapore 7s.
Fiji scored a total of seven tries from Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Paula Dranisinukula, Alasio Naduva, Jerry Tuwai, Isake Katonibau while Eroni Sau scored two tries.
The national side showed their dominance in the game with good restart and solid defence.
Fiji was leading 21-0 at halftime.
Fiji will now take on Russia at 9.02pm today before playing their final pool match against Spain at 12.28am tomorrow.
The Cup quarterfinals will begin at 4.30pm tomorrow, the semifinals will begin at 8.50pm tomorrow while the Cup Final is at 12am Monday.
