The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has won their second pool match of the Singapore 7s after defeating Russia 29-7.
Winger Alasio Naduva scored a brace of tries while Josua Vakurinabili, Waisea Nacuqu and debutant Terio Tamani also scored a try each.
Fiji was leading 17-7 at half time with Russia scoring their try just before the break.
Meanwhile, rover Sevuloni Mocenacagi has been ruled out of the tournament after an injury he suffered from the first game against Japan.
Fiji will now take on Spain at 12.28am tomorrow.
Barring any upset, Fiji is likely to meet New Zealand, Scotland or Australia in the cup quarterfinals, will meet England or USA the semifinal and South Africa in the final.
The Cup quarterfinals will begin at 4.30pm tomorrow, the semifinals will begin at 8.50pm tomorrow while the Cup Final is at 12am Monday.
