The NSW Waratahs are investigating an incident regarding halfback Nick Phipps being kicked out of a Sydney pub for urinating on the bar the night after their 29‑0 Super Rugby loss to the Lions.

Phipps apologised and no further action was taken by the venue but the incident comes at a time when the Waratahs continue to battle issues both on and off the field.

A witness described the incident as being part of Phipps' stag‑do, with the 61‑Test halfback dressed as a cow during the incident.

Wallabies and Waratahs captain Michael Hooper was also in attendance.

The Waratahs host the Blues at Brookvale Oval at 5.05pm Saturday bidding to break a 36‑game winning streak by New Zealand teams against Australian opposition.
