8 of the 11 victims of separate serious sexual offences in April were under the age of 18-years.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions says there were 3 male victims and 8 female victims while all 12 accused persons were male.
In one incident a 32-year-old uncle was charged with the rape of his 4-year-old niece while another 48-year-old uncle was charged with representative counts of the rape of his 15-year-old nephew.
There was one incident where a 39-year-old man was charged with sexually assaulting his 14-year-old sister‑in‑law.
The DDP also says that there were two incidents where the accused and victims were neighbours. In one incident a 19-year-old man was charged with allegedly raping a 4-year-old girl while in another case a 24-year-old man was charged with allegedly raping a 6-year-old boy.
The DPP’s Office says there was one incident where a 25-year-old man allegedly raped a 15-year-old boy in the Northern division.
A 21-year-old man was also charged after he attacked a 24-year-old woman in the street and allegedly raped her. This alleged incident happened during in the Western division.
In another case a boy under the age of 18-years has been charged with one count of abduction and one count of defilement of a 16-year-old girl.
