Two Fijian women have been issued a stop departure order by the Samoan government as they are were alleged to have removing items from a Lawyer and Hotelier’s residence.
The lawyer and hotelier has filed a complaint with the Samoan Police, accusing the women of such act.
The Samoa Observer has reported that the women no longer live in the residence of the lawyer and they both strongly reject the allegations against them.
Samoan Assistant Chief Immigration Officer, Siaopo Pese, told local media that the matter has reached their office and that they have launched an investigation.
He says the Fijian women want to return home but because of the investigation, they cannot as they have issued a stop order on them.
He added that until the police investigation is completed, only then can the Immigration Office act.
In the meantime, Pese confirmed that the Fijian women are in Samoa legally.
Samoa Police have said that the Fijian women went to Samoa to work one as a housekeeper and babysitter for the businessman.
