Sonny Bill Williams and TJ Perenara could add a sprinkling of star dust to Friday's Blues and Hurricanes clash at Eden Park.

The Hurricanes are working under the assumption that Blues second five‑eighth Williams will make his comeback from a fractured thumb, while Perenara is almost over his knee injury.

The halfback hasn't played since the Hurricanes' 38‑37 win over the Sharks on April 6th, but has returned to full training.

Fullback Jordie Barrett is on his way back from injury, but sounds slightly less likely to play than Perenara.

As for Williams, his inclusion would be a huge boost to a Blues team fresh off Saturday's 24‑21 win over the Waratahs.

The Blues will host the Hurricanes at 7.35pm Friday.
