The woman who allegedly tied herself up with her 4-year-old daughter and drove their car off the road into Rewa River on Sunday night appeared in the Nausori Magistrates Court this morning.
She is charged with one count of murder
Roseleen Razin Khan’s bail application was rejected and she has been remanded in custody.
The matter has been transferred to the Suva High Court which will be called on the 23rd of this month.
The woman allegedly drove the car into the river in Kasavu after leaving their home in Vuci South.
Bystanders quickly got into the river to save the two.
The mother and daughter were taken to the Nausori hospital where the 4-year-old girl was pronounced dead.
The woman’s husband has alleged that she had called him while driving with their daughter saying that she will take both their lives.
