Good news for teachers who are looking for a chance to fund creative learning experiences inside and outside the classroom.

The Fiji Water Foundation has announced that it has begun with its’ Fiji School grants that gives teachers a chance to apply for a grant up to $5000 to fund supplies or experiences for their students.

The foundation adds that teachers who have projects that have a direct and tangible impact on students’ learning and that includes educational field trips, enrichment activities and hands on learning supplies, the Fiji School grants is a programme that can help fund these activities.

It says sample project ideas can include art materials for a drawing class, supplies to build electrical circuits for a science lab, and transportation and entrance fees for a class trip to the museum or Kula Eco Park.

The foundation says it is looking to support teachers and new and creative learning techniques for students.

The Fiji Water Foundation has also confirmed that the Fiji School grants is open to teachers from kindergarten to secondary school adding that more than one teacher from any school is able to apply for the grant.

The foundation also encourages teachers to use the programme to develop once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunities for their students.

Meanwhile, applications for the Fiji School grants close on the 31st of this month.
