A 30-year-old mechanic has passed away after the vehicle he was driving hit a parked bus last night.
Police say the incident occurred after 10pm at Urucalia, Baulevu Road in Nausori.
The victim was on his way to pick his wife when the incident took place.
The road death toll currently stands at 24 compared to 20 for the same period last year.
This is the fourth road fatality recorded on our roads this week.
Two women had passed away on Sunday night after they were involved in a road accident in Waimalika Nadi and a 7- year-old boy passed away after he was hit by a vehicle at the FNU Junction in Natabua on Wednesday.
Investigations in these cases continue.
