The 54-year-old man alleged to have caused the death of a 7-year-old boy in Lautoka earlier this week has been charged.

Police say the man has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death and will be produced in the Lautoka Magistrates Court today.

Police had earlier said that the Year 2 student of Saint Thomas Primary School was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle.
