Over 30 productions of various forms have been shot in Fiji in 2018.
Film Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Dallas Foon says of this 10 major productions, that include large TV series are being shot in Fiji.
Foon adds that 3 feature films have already been shot in Fiji with one more feature film to be shot in Fiji in the second half of this year.
Foon had earlier highlighted that 74 productions were shot in Fiji with a budgetary value of over $300million in 2017, topping the 2016 record of 57 productions.
He says an estimated $129 million of that was spent directly into the Fijian economy, generating new economic activity of about $350 million.
Foon also highlighted that there were 13 major productions and this included the feature film, Adrift, starring Hollywood stars Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin.
The film was shot in the greater Suva area, Pacific Harbour and parts of Rakiraki.
Foon says Survivor US continues its production for another year.
Fiji and especially the Mamanuca Islands is the most used location in the history of the show.
Survivor US is aired in 130 countries with a viewership of over 110 million people.
