Twelve primary school individual records and 28 secondary school records have been broken at the 2018 National Schools Swimming Championship underway at the Damodar Aquatic Centre.
Two of Matelita Buadromo’s records have been broken at the 2018 National Schools swimming championship.
Moana Wind of Saint Joseph’s Secondary School broke Buadromo’s record in the 100 metres breaststroke in the Under 16 grade.

Wind set a new record of 1.15.92 seconds to beat the previous record of 1.21.47 seconds.
Makereta Niumataiwalu of SVC also beat Buadromo’s record in the Under 19 50 metre breaststroke.
Niumataiwalu set a new record of 36.58 seconds.
Marion Kotobalavu of Yat Sen Secondary School broke the female Under 13 100 metres butterfly record which was set in 2010 by Sausau Elaisa of Jai Narayan College.
Kotobalavu’s new record is 2.25.36 seconds beating the old record of 2.30.10 seconds.
The competition continues at the Damodar City Aquatic Center in Laucala.
