The weekly work attachment allowance for the National Employment Centre clients has been increased by the government and it will be effective from the 28th of this month.

In the statement, the government says the weekly work attachment allowance for diploma and degree level has doubled from $30 to $60 whereas for primary, secondary and certificate level it has increased by 60 percent from $30 to $50.

This was endorsed by the National Employment Centre Board after consultations with its members.

It says the revised weekly work attachment allowance is necessary considering the level of qualification attained and the level of skills possessed by the clients.
